Wildcats Announce 2008 Schedule

Fresh off one of its most successful seasons in school history, the Northwestern men's soccer program has announced its 2008 schedule. The Wildcats are set to play eight regular season home matches, including six that are being held under the lights. The slate gets underway August 29 with the annual Lakeside Classic.

Coming off the most successful regular season in school history, the Wildcats aimed to continue the momentum while at the same time forging a new identity for the upcoming campaign.

Finch, Roth Named Big Ten Medal of Honor Recipients

Christy Finch of the women's lacrosse team and David Roth of the men's soccer program have been named Northwestern's recipients of the 2007-08 Big Ten Medal of Honor. The award is given annually to one graduating male and female student-athlete of outstanding academic and athletic talent.

Lenahan inked players from all over the Midwest - with two individuals hailing from Michigan and one each from Illinois and Kansas - as well as one from North Carolina.

Major League Soccer has announced that Northwestern midfielder David Roth is among the 54 collegiate seniors invited to participate in the 2008 adidas MLS Combine to be held at Lockhart Stadium in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Jan. 11-15, 2008. In addition, Wildcat head coach Tim Lenahan will serve as the coach for one of the four teams at the combine.
