No. 17 Michigan scored in each of the first four innings as it posted a 7-1 win in the first game of a doubleheader Friday afternoon at Ray Fisher Stadium. The Wildcats got a run in the top of the first, but were unable to tally the rest of the way. Chris Lashmet (pictured) led NU with two hits.
Top-seeded Northwestern continues its quest for a fourth-straight national championship by hosting the eighth-seeded Princeton Tigers at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 17, at Lakeside Field. It marks the first meeting between the two schools since the 'Cats defeated the Tigers 8-6 in the 2005 NCAA quarterfinals.
